Established in 1992, ICPADS has been a major international forum for scientists, practitioners and users to exchange and share their wisdom, experiences, new ideas, and the latest research results on every aspects of parallel and distributed systems. The 27th IEEE International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Systems (ICPADS 2021) will be held in Beijing in December 2021. Beijing, the capital of P. R. China, has been long the very center of science and technology in China.

Original and unpublished contributions are solicited in all areas of parallel and distributed systems research and applications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to the following areas:

• Algorithms and Protocols: parallel and distributed algorithm and protocol designs and implementations
• Big Data and Machine Learning Systems: big data and machine learning techniques for distributed and parallel systems
• Cloud and Edge: cloud and edge computing in distributed and parallel system designs
• High-Performance Computing and Architecture: ? high-performance computing and architectures for parallelism and distributed computing
• IoT and CPS: Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical System design and implementations
• System and Applied Data Science: parallel and distributed systems and applied data science for real-world applications
• Security and Blockchain: security and privacy issues in parallel and distributed systems and blockchain system designs
